Netbyte’s old logo was somewhat dated and technically flawed by being too thin so they asked me to improve it. By simply adding more weight and again, simplifying it was given a new lease of life and better reflected the industry they’re in – internet and online media design and development. The new look has an ‘apple’ feel to it with its simplicity and clean lines, which was the intention. Sometimes it is ok to imitate if you’re imitating greatness. By doing so it is able to leverage off that association people make with cutting edge technology and top end products when they think of apple.
Later the service was extended to online media and required a sub brand, a separate entity but with an obvious link to the parent brand. The colours reference the old TV test signal pattern and also relate to the fact it’s about vision, colour, making a bold statement, very simple but very effective.
